Knife Work Party

A complete introduction to the techniques of knife work, or whittling as some call it. Learn safe and effective techniques, everyone will be able to make a small project to take home. If in the woods we can have the fire alight and probably have time to toast something lovely!

This session can be extended to complete more advanced projects – do contact us for a chat.

The details…

Knifework parties are suitable for children aged 10+ years of age – but great for adults too.

Knifework parties are suitable for up to 8 children or young people or 12 adults. There is no minimum amount, we can do a one to  one session if preferred.   We can come to you, or you can come to us.  If you have a garden (it doesn’t have to be enormous – we have had some great bushcraft sessions on patios and in small gardens) or access to another space we can bring everything we’ll need.  Otherwise you can come to our small woodland just outside Thaxted.

A parental/guardian consent form is required for each child or young person under the age of 18yrs.

If the party is for children we will always require one adult (who does not have the care of a younger child) to be with us throughout.

Discover Bushcraft will hold parties whatever the weather (unless it’s too dangerous) – our day camp set up will provide enough shelter for all of the activities.  In fact some of the best bushcraft experiences can be had when the weather is a little inclement!
